Hofner bass

Sorry - it's not a Ricky - but a friend of mine needs to sell his '66 Hofner lefty bass. Looks like Maccas. Any ideas what these go for these days? Pretty clean with original Selmer case.

On eBay, older ones such as yours in good condition can bring over $1,000, but collectors really like the original pre-65 versions that are the same vintage as Paulie's. Bear in mind, you can buy brand new ones set up almost exactly like the 62-63-era Hofners for $1500-$2000.

It is not unusual for older Hofners to fetch over $2000 these days. Left handed models could be even more.
