So I turn 30 today....

Post by jaybic »

So today @ 12:05pm Central Standard Time, I officially turned 30. I feel the same, but I think dear ol' ma is having a rough time of it. So, I'm giving up smoking to ensure I'm around for the next 30 years. As a side note, my wife and family all chipped in to get me a AKG wireless system, a new Boss overdrive stompbox, some Ric strings, and vintage knobs for my 4003 JG. All in all, I can't complain!

WOOT! Happy B day!! Only 30? That's not that bad! My thoughts on age are "You're not old til you're 40." *hides* Just kidding guys. Please don't burn me at the stake for that! Mmmm... steak.... Image (I had to!Image)

Wow.. that's a lot of stuff.. Wish I could get all that. My ma probably can't even afford the Hipshot Bridge I want for my 4001. My B day's in January.

Happy birthday!! I cant even remember when I was 30.

I drop hints all year long, and never get anything music related.

And to top it all off, they say Im hard to buy for!

The sweet thing about this year's gifts is that I really didn't ask or drop hints for any of that stuff. My wife's awesome. She's also our best roadie! lol....

I get that "hard to buy for" stuff as well. It's just this year, the stars aligned, the phases of the moon were in synch, I don't know what....it's all good at the moment

Hey Jason, Happy 30th Birthday buddy. Everyone seems to have missed the most important decision you've made regarding quitting smoking. One day two years ago I got on a plane to New York and decided I was never going to smoke again, ever. At that point I'd been on 25 a day for about 20 years. I've not touched a cigarette since, feel better for it, have more money to spend on Rickenbackers and hopefully I'll be around to see my kids grow old. Good luck to you mate!

Oh yeah.. congrats! My mom and step dad have tried several times.. they put their last smoke in a frame.. the next day the frame is broken. They try.. but not hard enough.

My Dad doesn't want to quit. Oh well...
