Therefore, I'm starting this thread to display pictures of my favorite car, and I hope you'll all do the same. Since I'm making the rules for this one, it doesn't have to be one that you currently own...just your favorite of your historical inventory. (I look forward to many amazing entries...)
The car pictured below is one that I owned for three years ('90 through '92) and kept in New Zealand, where I got to drive it a couple months out of the year during my 'stopovers'. British forumites will need no introduction, but for others, this is a 1952 Ford Prefect. An eight HP engine (that is not a typo) and three forward gears ('First', 'Second' and 'Top') propelled this baby to speeds of over 35 mph. It's unique tranverse leaf-spring rear suspension (similar to that of a stagecoach) earned Prefects the nickname 'Rollies', as this is what they tended to do when cornering too 'fast'...
I sure loved 'er, though...she was just my speed...you might say: Prefect for me...
