You had your chance Brian. Image

Bob, you forgot a Blackstar?

....so did you Bob......well more than a "chance" since you had one and sold it....SOLD IT !!!!!!!! That should eliminate you from ever having the chance to own another.

.....and lets leave Blackstars out of the discussion......thank you! The next decent one that pops up (or one priced appropriately) will be coming home with me unless someone else wishes to take out a 2nd mortgage......

You may have a very valid point there Brian.
One who is stupid enough to not know a good thing when he has it should be banned for life.

That was a walnut though, now I need a maple. Image

Hmmmm ... why does everyone ignore the 2030GF? It has to be one of the rarer basses to be found.

If I saw one for sale at a reasonable price I might be interested but since I know there are very few (and have only ever seen one for sale) I don't anticipate finding one anytime soon so I don't waste much time pining for one. On the other hand, Blackstars were popping up steadily until about a year ago so one for sale will probably surface somewhat soon.

Perhaps being ignored is why the model is so rare! Image I feel the 2000 series in general was unjustly ignored. I like they way they play and sound but they are, well, ugly. It is one Rickenbacker shape that I just can't get into. That short upper horn gives them a 3:00 balance on a strap. I prefer a more upright angle - something around 1:30 is good for me.

I don't think I've ever seen a GF for sale but, I'd be interested.

I've played two of the Frey basses and they are fantastic.

I’ve got many feelers out there for a Blackstar and the coin put aside for two actually! I’ve been positioning myself for sometime… I’ve talked to a couple of owners, one in Germany and one here in the States, but no one is interested in parting right now.

I’d love to have a GF. If one shows up I’d pounce. If you’re interested Gary send me an e-mail
