A short time before this thread appeared I tried the superglue trick (but without baking soda) on my 4001v63, but it has a delrin (sort-of-nylon) nut. Superglue is not good with 'soft waxy plastics' like nylon.
The plastic started to go a bit soggy, so I removed the glue with indelicate haste! Should I have persisted? Would I have had better results with the baking soda added? Or is there some other nut building trick I should use?
