Maybe Ken should have gone to the guy that sprayed this bass? I don't think it's factory...!

Actually..... This is a true Ric, right? If so, I might just see if I can get it for a very good price and refin it. Any thoughts?

I wonder if it is a legit 4003. The finish is totally unusual for a Rickenbacker instrument, plus the seller mentions 'standard' and 'stereo' outputs and says he's selling the bass for a friend...

It would be the only 4003 with a skunk stripe Ive seen.Its most likely a faker thats why the vague photo and the I'm selling this for a friend bit. I already emailed him last night with no response

If it is real, it is a 4001 from '73 to '75. There is a skunk stripe and a 1/2 inch spaced guard.

I have asked for more photos, The first thing I noticed after the spay paint was the 1/2 inch & stripe. Could be nice..
