Recordings Anyone???

Post by sabbath_of_bass »

Okay guys. I just got the idea that we should have a thread for any recordings anyone wants to play or wants input on. It sounded good to me at least. Anyohwho. So any song ideas you got recorded or any songs you got record or even if you just got a new sound you like put them on here. If you wana share them that is.

I was gonna start the thread with the only personal scratch I have. But I got no clue on how to put a song up on here. So if anyone cares to explain that little number then please do.

Okay well hope you guys liked the Idea. Image

First, you need to record your music into the computer, and convert the result to a format that doesn't take up too much space, like mp3. Then, you need to upload your song to the internet. Assuming you have the webspace, you need a program to upload your song. Finally, you just link to it with the coding system the Rick Forum uses.

There are some sites, like music.download.com, audiostreet.net, even myspace.com, that allow you to post music for free, but you usually can't link to them directly - you have to send people to the page so that they can download the songs themselves.

Remember, if you do want to set up a myspace account for music, you have to set up a music account, NOT a regular one! If you make a regular one and then want to change it, it can take over a week...

Well I have a cd scratch of an idea for a song I had. ITs not good by any means. IT was like one of my 1st song ideas. Long time back and has actually changed alot from the recording. But its all i had and It was recorded with a ric. So i figured id post it. But I took the cd and riped it to my computer. Ill just try to figure out the myspace thing and then send the link to ya. Good luck for that.

Sean, I dug the version of "Bomber" on your Capricorn USA site, you can definitely hear some "Clank" on there! Image Nice job!

Thats pretty kool Sean.
Steve I tryed to check out yours but the songs didnt load. Ill try it later. I think its just something with my space or comp or something. Every now and then that happens.

Im gonna have to try to figure out the whole downloading the song thing later.
Heres that Punk band i said something about earlier. I only got together with them at 1st to do this talent show. But we started to play together. Whenever we talked about writing it got mixed up. And i felt like they really wouldnt listn to any of my input at all. So I said I quit. But theres the only song we ever recorded. And its just something stupid but its a recording none the less.

http://www.myspace.com/sabbathofbass Thats my space. But theres no music there. I think after I get a recording machine im gonna make a new space and classify myself as a band just so i can put up scratchs of me jamming lol.

I had some trouble with the myspace players too - they are notoriously unreliable. But I got to listen to "Bomber" - sounded awesome! I love that Motorhead album - it strikes me as somewhat transitional, between the earlier bluesy stuff like "Iron Horse" and the later full-bore metal like Ace of Spades or No Sleep 'til Hammersmith - haha, or Another Perfect Day - I really loved parts of that album...
