Nate - that's rough, having to move around like that, especially when it's not your choice!

If you really want to do music, then I suggest stop thinking about gear and practice. I'm not scolding you - I can't even follow my own advice! But seriously, you should put your money into stuff that's really going to advance your abilities as a musician, whether it's an amp so you can be in a band or lessons or whatever. A second bass is just icing on the cake. Plus, if you can accept this, then the GAS pains will subside...

Harry, Thats probly good advice for everyone haha.

Nate that sucks hard. But theres alot of schools here you can go to for music. I think most of our Universitys have good music programs. That school thing is harsh tho. That really sucks.

About the bass thing. To be honest... and I realize these guys are gonna hate me for saying this. But I would go get an active bass. Instead of buying another Ric. Just so you can cover different sounds. Maybe a Wal like you were talking about haha. I realize im pushing my luck here guys sorry.

OR YOU COULD PLAY FRETLESS!

The custom bass I ordered has 3 band active EQ.. but I'm thinking about halting that project and getting my money back. I'd have an extra $1000 if I did that. I think I'd go for a new amp and cabnet. I could always order that custom one again. And I could still bother nana into buying me a new bass and pay her back over time.

Harry.. good advice. Now I have GAS for a new amp!

Jacob, I'd kill for a Wal! Who should I kill? Image

Um.. my great uncles tube amp.. never hear of the thing.. it's tiny.. it's called a 'Poweray' (electrical appliances). Rofl.. it sucks. Although it does make my Rick sound awesome sometimes.
