Nice score Joey. You can't go wrong with an S!

Is it just me or do the horns on these set neck 4001S basses look a little different? Sergio noticed that the neck seems to be at a slightly different angle. But it looks to me like the cresting wave upper horn gets a sort of a McCartney-esque rounding off treatment.

Yeah, I've thought about the black trc, maybe I can send this one into RIC so I can buy a black one with chrome letters if that is available, if not then I'll get one with white letters.

All black hardware...hmmm...

Sean, it might be a while before I sell it, a very long while. LOL

Nice 8 string headstock, Harry.

”Nice 8 string headstock" - thanks!

Personally, I don't think the black hardware is necessary - there's a picture of Brian's black 8-string with chrome in the "Mr. Silver has just arrived" thread and I think it looks awesome, as does yours!

I was noticing also that the horns are rounder on my S . I think because it has no binding there a little more subtle in appearance . I also thought the neck angle was a little forward but i checked it with a couple other 4001's i have and they all have the same neck angle
im getting to old for this ****

Joey - Fantastic score!

IMO, you must leave it JG...

JG + S = Sex with Strings.

Get a black TRC, leave the hardware chrome... fantastic stunner.

Envious here. Image
