At long last!

Ben and I did a reconnoiter of Richard's bench, looking at the stack of Lemmy's he was working on. Much to our surprise, each one was distinctly different in the pattern, he having abandoned the standard duplicarver template for these. On the one hand, it looks like he went renegade but on the other, they're really beautiful, each and every one, and totally unique. I'll try to get an explanation tomorrow but with craftsmanship like this, I can't be too mad!
Having met Richard I'd say he went the individual route to preserve his sanity !!!
Meeting him, and seeing his superb workmanship up close was one of the highlights of the tour.
It's also made me want to order a Fireglo acoustic, which from the look of things are literally hand built by Richard.

I love seeing the differences and the fact that Richard went renegade is excellent. I'm quite pleased with my LK and would never part with it but I must admit that I am somewhat jealous when I see the more fluid look to the newer versions and also that some are a completely different pattern. I love having the version that is virtually a duplicate of Lemmy's but having a true "one off" in a small run of sought after Rics has a substantial appeal as well. Now I REALLY need to get a second one.......

I noticed that Bob Comb's 4004LK has the original carving pattern and is #29. Mine which is #30 has a "renegade" pattern. Can we infer that #1-29 were "originals" and #30-60 will be "renegade"?
Brian - now that we know there are differences in the run, you should DEFINITELY get another Lemmy! This might make it an easier sell to a significant other, bank manager etc...

Is it just me, or does the Music Zoo's LK look to have a maple back????
