I wonder how the neck on the 4001/8 took the tension of the extra strings? I'm sure they have the old style rods.

I think they gave Squire his in the early, maybe mid '70's.

I believe Squire's old 8 string has a headstock problem, most likely caused by those 8 strings, including the Rotosound factor...

The Entwistle sold at Auction after his death, I think. Hard Rock Cafe probably has it. But who knows.
