I'm still waiting for a reply to see the bass. I can't for the life of me understand when someone wants to sell something, especially like this advertised as "mint" they don't communicate with potential buyers.

In this case this guy might live a minute away from me, or at the most 20. I'm beginning to wonder if this is a real auction and not a faker.

Maybe he doesn't want someone local winning and picking up, as he'll lose the extra $125 shipping and insurance...

I got an email out of him but he used the ebay identity "cloaking" device to hide his return address.

I have offered a range of ways to communicate, including my phone number to talk, and even offered a potential local cash deal.
It couldn't get any easier for a potential seller.

That's why I have doubts about it been genuine. Has anyone seen this CS bass number for sale anywhere before?

What makes people believe that others are willing to send thousands of dollars to brand new eBay users? If you want to sell big ticket items, try starting smaller and gaining a feedback rating. There is no way I'd be forking over that much cash to some noob, especially if they aren't willing to communicate. Same goes for "private" feedback people, thanks but no thanks!
