CS vs V63

Post by marc67 »

I'm sure this has been covered before but still I am curious - can anyone who owns/plays a CS and a V63 point out the differences in sound if there are?

There is definitely a difference between mine - I'm not at home right now so I can't quote the years, but the CS is way dirtier/louder than the V even allowing for different pup heights. If it wasn't for the fact that just looking at the CS causes the finish to scuff, I'd gig it as my principal "rock" bass just for the sound. Of course, it's all subjective, plus each guitar is different anyway. And does the CS make me sound like Squire? Nah.
enough, already.
