Anyone in Chicago? I might need a beer!

Post by leftyguitars »

I have a Ric (possibly two) to pick up in Chicago. I am looking at all options, one is to fly over (from the UK) and pick up the guitars and fly back either the same day or the next day. I have checked out the flights and it is possible to do it. If I do it, will I be drinking on my own?

Depends on when you come. Ted just left for a week in Costa Rica with his family. Jeff Thomas is in Chicago, and at least one more lurker. I'm north of Milwaukee, a couple hours' drive. I was over at Ted's last night meeting up with Mike Gutierrez, Jeff Scott, and Paul Michaels, a lurker. Mike was in town for business. He's a sports memorabilia and collectibles appraiser (appears on Antiques Roadshow). Beer, pizza, and good company, surrounded by Ted's menagerie of pets and Ricks. Mike and Ted took photos, but haven't seen 'em yet. We're calling it the Chicago Micro Confluence (CMC)!

Doh! I missed a party. I wouldn't mind but I could have come over this weekend too. I'm looking at sometime early December now.
