I spoke to the seller. It's not too bad, no major nicks or scratches, and he attached all of the onboard pickup stuff with velcro.

I think the wiring and the pickguard replacement is all that will be required. It looks like the pickguard was attacked with a bear-skinning knife...

Thanks Gary it would seem that quite a lot of people looked at it. Perhaps some did not want to take a chance on how much work would be involved to bring it back up to snuff.

Like Paul, I also corresponded with the seller and determined that he had not routed the cavity or bored any holes in the body. Still, it remains to be seen what the finish is actually like. There may be war wounds all over the place that were not disclosed. Only time will tell that story.

The seller BTW, while very courteous, is a man of very few words. That was a little un-nerving.

I've had more contact with the seller over the past couple of days. He is quite responsive now so I feel a little better. I can't wait for the guitar to arrive now.

Yep! We have twins. I wasn't particularly looking for another guitar but........ you know that story all too well. LOL

Now my JG 360/12WB has a sibling. The seller says that it's in good nick other than the guard that he chewed up. So I am crossing my fingers. Jet Glo again though!!! I am starting to get like Anthony with all his FG's. I love FG but every deal I run across is a JG. I can't figure that one out.

Aitch,

I wondered where you have been. It's not like you to miss time on the forum. Pics on arrival will be posted no matter what state she is truly in.

Pics will also be posted after she is cleaned up and then pics after new guards are installed. There is a bit of a chance that the new guards will be gold, as will the TRC. I have to give that a little more thought since once I do it I can't easily go back to white as I would no longer have a white TRC.

More on that later though, once I have made appropriate arrangements.

I'll bet it was the latter and I'll bet you showed them how to knock 'em back and still get up the next morning all bright eyed and bushy tailed didn't ya!! LOL

Yeah, well, after you've cooked about 60 of 'em they become a little less inviting. Not to mention the 120 or so sausages.

I gave the booze a huge nudge the first night, Brian..... quite proud of myself I was.... showed them young dudes how to pace themselves! Mostly beer but a few rum and cokes thrown in (not up) as well. I backed off a lot on the grog last night (still had more than I should have), so I was reasonably fit this morning.

It's the lack of sleep that's knocking me around now - it's around 7.30pm Sunday here and the queen size is looking very tempting - reckon I'll be in bed within the hour.....

You always pay the price Aitch. It's fun at the time. BTW, my guitar is being shipped tomorrow.

The seller is shipping the synth module and the pickup in a separate box. I guess I'll consider putting that on one of my Strats. But which one? Hmmm. It's just a bonus item as far as I am concerned. I may just sell it. That's the other option open to me.

Having seen both Darren and Howard's respective 12 and 6 string 360v64's,i'm sure you'll receive a brilliant guitar Brian.
There is something truly magical about that model!
