There's actually a story behind it... comes from a Richard Pryor movie.

Really, really fun when I give it out to someone official-like... I smile uncontrollably!

And I actually have 3 of those hats... one in tan corduroy... grey wool... wait, this is a bass forum...

Love those hats! Here's Les.

I'd prolly look goofy in one of those.. but it'd keep the hair out of my face!

Les Claypool owns a Rickenbacker (Geddy's his biggest influence) as well, so technically, it really IS the official Ric hat.

Pictures are coming. Hold on a few minutes.

Dangit! I tried to upload all my pictures and I finally figured it out and then it turns out that all my pictures are too large (they're all 640x480) so now I have to resize them. Pictures are pending, I swear!

Nice photos Nate, Bob and Paul.

I like the black plastic on the Geddy Special, Nate.

Thanks about the black plastic, Jeff.
Actually, if I get a 4003, I'm putting black plasic on that, and making my 4001 into a Geddy bass... schaller tuners, bad *** bridge... so what if the other forumites think it's crazy. It's my bass, and I want a Geddy tribute. I also want a Geddy J, but that's another story.

I don't.

Geddy's bass sounded a shedload better as a result.

Go for it.

Don't worry, she was polished very thoroughly afterwards!
