Thanks Greg,
I am normally very patient. For some reason I am really looking forward to receiving this guitar. Your glowing description has served to heighten that anticipation. LOL

Not yet Greg,
According to the UPS tracking system my V64 appears to be in Spokane Wa. From there it will travel to Vancouver B.C. and then on to Kelowna for local delivery to Vernon. I expect to see it next week some time at the earliest. I have had guitars shipped by UPS ground take a month or so to arrive from the U.S. Thanks for asking though, I can't wait to see what shape she is in.

Greg,
I just got off the phone with UPS. It will be enter into Canada on Thursday. I may see it on Friday, perhaps Monday at the latest.
UPS seems to have done a bang up job getting it here in a timely fashion this time.

Oops I forgot to say that I will post pictures after I get back from a trip to Calgary. I'll do that so we have before and after pics on this thread.

Yeh I saw that one Robert. Its a nice looking 12 string. Its a tad high in price though IMO. I already have a beautiful JG 360/12WB so I don't really need another one.
I am determined that my next Ric is going to be a FG. Mind you I said that this time. I just can't seem to escape these JGs they must be following me. Sort of like what the men in black get up to. LOL

Well the V64 arrived today via UPS. She is currently spending time by herself to become properly acclimatized to indoor temperature and humidity. I don't have time right now to post pictures because I am heading out to the airport. I can report that apart from the mutilated pick guard she is drop dead gorgeous. Just one small visible nick on the headstock and some small almost invisible scratches/swirl marks on the body.
I checked the intonation and set up after she spent two hours "warming up" and she is a players dream.
BTW, I plan to post pictures on the weekend.

It plays like a dream and the custom wiring job makes this guitar more versatile than any guitar that I currently own.
More Pics.

The circuit contains a battery operated pre-amp that boosts out put. This effectively give the guitar a Gibson Les Paul sound. The mini selector switch turns that option on. There is only one volume control. and one tone control. With the mini switch in the opposite position the guitar sounds like a vintage Ric. Nice and clean and jangly. The fifth knob is now a two position selector switch which gives the guitar yet another range of sounds more like a Stratocaster.
Later on, I intend to provide a picture or two of the circuit for all you circuit whizzes to mull over.
Suffice it to say apart from changing the top guard, I will probably leave the guitar as it is. It is that good!!!!
