I'm surprised Rickenbacker doesn't have the listing pulled for even implying that Image

Yes, but look, it's the ultra rare, Seethru Seafoam Patomac Maple finish.

What am I missing here? the strap says "Fender", so that's what it is.

You can also see a "Ri" and half a "c" on the headstock - which can only mean one thing: someone put a Ric TRC on that poor Fender bass.

If we made a Fender Precision copy, we'd have to call it a P-Rick.

John, don't you mean P-Rick? I can see the ad copy now.

I think it's safe to say that the seller wouldn't be too strong on answers to tech questions. Like: What's the serial number?

My guitarist has the same Fender strap...when I've used it with one of my Ricks I've always felt 'dirty'...

Hate it when people do that to get more searches, obviously. Like I am going to buy that to get the strap...

I was thinking some months ago about a "custom" jobbed 4004...like a 4000, with one PU.

When I mused about this at practice (with my Laredo straped across my neck) my guitarist said "what? you have the perfect bass right there". Image

My 4004L is the Rick answer to the P bass. A damn good answer - powerful, throaty lows but still retains its "Rick" soul.
