Mint green is cool.. I just don't like that shade of blue on a Rick.. it seems too wimpy. I could understand if the player was in a 60's band that played all the weird stuff, but if someone played in a metal band with that.. I'd **** myself laughing.

Not macho at all. But...

You'd buy a pink bass "as a joke" and BBR "beats the hell" out of BB. Pastels are "wimpy".

Sounds pretty macho to me!
But you're right, pastels and heavy metal don't go together.

Ok, Paul. I think pastels are wimpy. But does that have to make me seem macho?

Plus the "burst" in Blue Burst is nicer than the solid blueboy.

I think you all know my feelings in the matter, so I won't even have to say which I prefer. Image

I want a BB that IS that shade of green.

Make no mistake, these will be very collectable in the years to come, far more than the BBR I believe...

Eric, could you post a pic of your BBSG...

I like the blue burst better, but I recall seeing a 4003 BB and was struck by its looks. There was a BB 4004 Cii at a Sam Ash near me last spring, while it was nice, it did not seem right on that guitar.

I would tend to trust Andy Winter's speculation...the BB's will probably be rarer and each a little different.

Here's the store's shot of the blue/mint green boy.

I'm on the opposite side of the country right now, so I'll post some more pics when I get home.

I like Blueboy. My opinion. If you ever had a hankering for an all white Rick, Blueboy may be the closest thing you'll ever get.

Mines very light blue, with a very dark fingerboard, no hint of green at all.

Mine, sniff(tears cuz it's gone).. looks white in this photo:

Yet here looks Blue:

The greenish hue that seemed to be a bit prominant for me was one of the reasons I decided to sell it.

I will own a 4004 again.Maybe Blueburst is the way to go.

I really like the BB. Sea Foam Green is kind of cool. When I saw the first picture of BB I thought it was sea foam.

The blueburst hasn't come near me yet or I would be sorely tempted.

Here's my three (again) with the Blue Boy in the middle. Midnight Blue on the right...

So you know, 4004Cii's were made for Blueburst.

Forget any other color on that model...
