And what's with those prices? Perhaps trying to prove cloned ads or something, but $3,619.81 starting bid? Weird.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think if it's a very early 80s model, it was still made in Kalamazoo. It may still be an okay guitar in that case. If it's any later, I'd just as soon buy a Heritage and save the money.
If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

Ahhh, but I do see a couple of clues here pointing to the fact that he HATES Rickenbackers and those who play them:

A) Gibson guitars are delicately placed on a soft cotton towel so as not to harm them while taking photos. Rickenbackers are dug into the sand and/or thrown on a heap of rocks at photo time.

B) Gibsons are photographed with cute dinosaur figures. Rickenbackers are photographed with racist symbols and Nazi references.

But a smart wingnut he is. His ebay listings get exposure on BBS's in addition to the standard ebay exposure.

True . . . but still . . . $3600 for an 80s Gibson is a bit much . . .

Don't love him. He's a white supremacist nutcase who has invaded our hobby for profit.
“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”

He's comical, but quite sinister, really. Others have evidence of his anti-semitic rants.
The downside of a free society.
