Nice P-bass mod. It's much more distinctive now.

That Fenderbird looks great, Jeff.

You build that from Warmoth parts?

I bought a used epiphone t-bird 5 string bass at GC ... it was a factory 2nd ... the neck was s-curved ... so I frankenstiened it with a mighty mite p-bass neck and changed the bridge, pickups, and wiring ... I put the neck a little farther into the body and moved the bridge back a little ... this puts the pickups in a slightly different location ... it changes the harmonics of the bass a little especially on the B and E strings ... it is an interest bass ...

Always wanted to build a Fenderbird- but I would use the HB1 RIC pickups

Nice one!

Mark, you really gonna build that thing? (am a little late sorry)

It is interesting in a kinda boomerangy sort of archers bow/ submachine gun way Image

When the new Cii/5 pickups come out, that sounds like a good candidate for them.
I've never tried a 5 string (I have a long way to go in mastering 4) but if I did get a 5 banger it would have to have a wide, thin neck....
