White Rics always seem to go for a premium.

I had one from Lark Street Music. Returned it though, as it was an obvious refin.

Lindsay,
Was that Dave Meros' bass?

(if so) I remember when that thing was on eBay. I wanted it bad, but had no money at the time.

I like McCartney, Squire, Lee, etc; but that's the one recorded Rickenbacker that's made the biggest impact on me. Congratulations, BTW.

Jeff, nice 5'er, but that 'white', I hate the colour when it goes so yellow.

I thought the last versions of white are not meant to yellow?

Ken's 97 5 string still looked very white when it was up on the bay a week or two ago...

Its not "yellowing" that occurs. Its simply the "mojo" coming out.

I dislike the yellowing as well ... my 2030-5 white has only yellowed a little ...

Good eye, Jason! Yes, that's Dave's bass.

He's a great guy, and I feel the same way you do about his sound. I also have his Digitech preamp from the "Beware Of Darkness" days (thanks, Steph), but I don't have his hands or talent.

Yeah, me either, Lindsay. I'm sure if I had acquired that bass I'd still sound nothing like he did.

Cool pic! The making of V (one of my all time top 10 favorite albums).
