... Well... every 2 or 3 songs. Yeah Nate I switch basses all the time. Ill sit down and switch 5 times when im just writing a song. Looking to see how I should do it. Try it on fretless... try it on my dean or my jazz bass. If its in D or something like that Ill try it on a lower octave with my 5 string. I just switch alot. I like having practices at my house cause I feel at home with all my basses. Every time I go to a practice Im like... I knew I should of took the blah blah blah with me too. Get this tho Nate... That metal band im in... Wants me to do a few songs... or intros with a Standup... Metal and stand up? Hmm...

LOL! Unique!

I'd like to switch ever now and then. I want a hipshot D tuner, or a 5 string. It'll be nice to have a bunch of different basses. I want one more Rick, a Jazz bass, a Wal (It'll take years to get it), and maybe something else.

Plus I want to play something else with a bass strapped on.. like keys, or standup like you'll do. The keys would be too Geddy, but I'll wright something around it.

Well I like singing. And alot of times I wish I could. So I figured if most bands wont let me play the licks I really want to play... Then I must find another way to keep myself Busy. Haha.

I play and sing ALL THE TIME. There is not a time I don't sing.. unless I'm sick. I find just playing kind of boring. Usually the bass is kinda boring until the guitar solo.. I have to find something to keep me from being bored. Even with Rush... I like the early stuff because Ged is busy during the vocals. And when the guitar solo hits he outplays Alex.

And with songs I don't know the words to, I play, and listen to the vocals. that helps me out.

Iron Maiden stuff is kinda backwards for me. I'm not used to Steve's style, and Bruce's singing is so powerful.. lol.

I picked up a cd today. King's X is the band. The cd was Dogman. The singer is the bassist. Not bad at all. I like it.

About the singing thing. I just want to cut out everyone from the band I can! The more people in it the more chances of screwing up or them screwing us over. Its just cause I cant find serious musicians. They all just want to screw around. Im serious. So if I have to... Ill do it all! haha.

Hahaha.. do that.. get a keyboard and a drum machine. Have the keys be the higher frequencies and you could sing and trigger the midi patches for the key while playing bass... just set the drums to a certain rhythm and you're set. When there's a solo do a bass solo.

Be a one man Geddy. Image

I really want an octave pedal. Those things are kool. You know what would really be kool tho. Getting two of them right. And doing that thing that ric has. RicOsound or whatever. One an octave higher and the other either normal or an octave lower. I always wanted to get a couple different pedals and fool around with them. One normal and the other one whatever I wanted it to be. I dont know how it would sound. But If im write about what Im talking about... It sounds like it could be pretty kool.
