Jayhawks

Post by expomick »

Probably my favourite band at the moment, and for the past ten years. Gary Louris and Mark Olson are performing together again...though I may the rare fan that prefers Louris to Olson. (But I also preferred Chris Bell to Alex Chilton).

Found this fine, fine photo on the http://www.jayhawksfanpage.com website.

Great albums, but unlike a lot of bands, I like their last album the best, "Rainy Day Music" from 2003.Image

I got that album as a gift last year and lost it! I hope to find it in the pile soon!

The Jayhawks are absolutely a worthy band.

He has several Rics. I've seen him with a Fireglo 330/12.

I'm a big fan of "Tomorrow the Green Grass"

Quality stuff.

Mick, I too love The Jayhawks and had the luck of meeting Gary L. last year in a restaurant in Texas. Very talented and a really nice person.

Don't forget ex-Long Ryder Stephen McCarthy, hired gunslinger/guitarist for the Jayhawks on Rainy Day Music (and in earlier touring versions, post-Olson).
