What's it really worth? I sat there and thought about pulling the trigger on it, but I'm not much of a vintage guitar collector and cosmetically that huge hunk of pickguard kind of bugs me, so I passed. I figured that it was underpriced but had no clue whether it was by $50 or a lot more.

Very nice.... I've got one like it, but mine has a few more dings and scratches in it..... Congrats, John!

The prices on these and the corresponding Ryder variants have been going up - like all Rick prices (!) - so $550 was a good buy. Congrats, John!

I thought about it also. Could have sent it to Curmudge for a refin, but as Todd said, not much to refin with that massive pickguard.

It's the companion to my ES-16, except standard length scale. Outside of that, they could be twins. The burst on the back is particularly beautiful.

It's gotta be worth more than $550! I don't really like big pickguards but it's a neat piece. In good shape too. I bet it sounds pretty cool as well.
