Paul did not play bass!
McCartney has always been a liner notes reader. He has stated in interviews that when he was in his teens he loved to buy records and read the liner notes on the bus during the trip home.
I have always been one to do that, too. The first thing I do when purchasing a new cd is to look at all the song credits, musician credits, etc. In fact, I can't stand when some albums are released without any information.

Steve, I've never heard of dogs peeing on mice...otherwise, your logic is irrefutable.
Kent...Antarctic lore is rife with human-peeing-on-human stories. Military style 'berthing' (side-by-side army cots) in a canvas quonset hut plus construction workers plus alcohol equals an anti-social behavior that became known as 'hosing'...basically, a guy who is not too drunk to rise up on his 'back twos' and head off to pee (into one of the steel funnels stuck in the ends of the 55 gal. drums that constituted the officially nomenclatured "U-Barrels", which were situated in the very cold 'vestibules' at the exits of the building) sometimes finds himself too drunk to make it all the way to his destination...hence 'hosing' a fellow Antarctic Hero.
Shameful, to be sure...I don't know if you could call it 'perverted', though. I think at least one person's gotta be conscious for a perverted act to occur...

I didn't get where I am today by being on time...
I think you guys are getting ever-so-slightly off topic, LOL.
If George played bass on "She Said She Said", would that have been on the Rickenbacker ? Did the Beatles have any other basses lying around the studio at that era?
What about "Golden Showers"...er, "Slumbers"(see what you've done!) That's always sounded like pure Rick to me...that's George?? it'd be cool to see a studio pic of Geroge with the Rick!
