Got a call today.....

Post by ozover50 »

The call came through at 5.28pm but alas, I had INXS cranked up to somewhere near 11 in the Vectra on the way for a beer or two. Got the 'missed call' message at 7.10pm (10 minutes after closing - sheesh!!)... "Howard, this is Jason. We have your beautiful new Fireglo 360/6 in the setup room. When are ya gonna pick it up?"

Methinks tomorrow at around 5 seconds after 9.00!!

Pics and impressions soon after.......

Er... it's now nine, Mitch. I'll do some group shots when I get it home.

Jealous, Melibee?? I just checked out your arsenal for the first time - sheesh!! I'm green.....

It's tomorrow all right Steve - unfortunately only 7.30am! I've got the starting blocks set up right outside the front door. Wonder if I could arrange a police escort..... Image

Hey, it's not easy being green! How do you think I feel only owning one Rick?

I'll just paraphrase Bob Seger and say "I've got the fire down be-glo."

How many do you have now, Aitch? We must be pretty close by now in number of Rics owned, LOL!

Well, you're catching up pretty fast then....and if you count your non-Rics you have more guitars than me! I have 13, but only 11 are at home right now....

Hi Howard,

Congrats on the FG 360 finally arriving. I absolutely love mine, so I'm certain you can't go wrong with it. Actually, I'm expecting another Ric early next week too... I'm having a JG 340VP that I found in Brisbane shipped to me as we speak!

After reading your post I checked out the "recent shipments" of the 360 model on the Ric site out of curiosity, and there was no mention of any 360s being shipped to Aus. I've been checking the shipments every week to see if there are any 620s on the way over here, without any luck (as you know, I've had 2 on order all year). So if yours has now turned up out of the blue without showing on the recent shipments maybe mine will too. Here's hoping.

#9, Aitch? And it seemed only yesterday you had two or three. This is like one a month isn't it? Congrats! And I will assume you may be picking up some more when you make your trip to the states.

My collection, hopefully, will be increasing soon. Some very old, inherited mineral rights dating back 30 years are about to come home to roost, thanks to Marathon Oil. I hate to gloat over this (well, not that much) but I naturally have gotten a little giddy over it.

Sounds pretty slick to me Stan. Welcome back.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
