Thanks guys. She plays very nicely especially during the summer months when the humidity is up. The old horseshoe is still quite strong. I have to rewire her to fix the mess the previous owner made. The tone pots work backwards! There are a few bad solder joints in there as well.

Ted, that may be exactly how they are supposed to work. Old Rickenbackers had their tone pots wired in reverse, and even though the wiring may have been fiddled with the pathways may be original. Proceed with caution.

The pots and wiring appear to be replacements. I just assumed that the installer soldered the wrong lug on the tone pots. Maybe not then, eh? The solder work is pretty bad. My treble pickup cuts out a lot.
