There are government secrets that are less loosely guarded than the Color of the Year. Image

I wonder if John Hall makes his employees sign a COTY non-disclosure form? Image

Attach a battery to their pants? Hehehe.

Never mind... that's too mean.

How about Jetglo, black binding, black pickguard, black chrome hardware, ebony fretboard, black MOP markers, black steel frets. Spinal Tap LE. How much more black could it be? None. None more black.

Cool. We can play "A Jazz Odyssey" while dancing around a Stonehenge in danger of being crushed by a dwarf.

There ISN'T a color of the year exactly and we've actually already told you what's coming up. Who was listening?

Depending which posts you've read on boards, some people here have even seen it. Who was paying attention?

At least you have a sense of humor John... getting everyone excited and on a wild goose chase. I'm sure you said it, but info easily gets lost when people start posting pictures of their dogs making faces and whatnot... hahaha

I did catch the walnut ears and new bridges a while back though... nice features.

The "F" hole is the item for next year, from what I have seen, and we have a picture from the Japan show of the item in question.
Image
With explanation from John Hall:
"The correct designation for this guitar is Model 1996, after the Rose Morris model number. The rest of the production units have the 31 degree soundhole, unlike the prototype shown above. ("2 o'clock -F- hole" is a horribly inaccurate term.)

The Japanese chose to have some of the 325C64's they had coming to be delivered as this sub-model variation as they appear to be more cognizant in Japan of the John Lennon connection to this model."

If there is something else that has been said about '06, I haven't seen it.
