X-MAS ROCKS!

Post by sabbath_of_bass »

I just went and picked out all of my goodies. I got a Tascam DP01FXCD recording machine, and a CAD GXL2200 mic. I cant wait to actually use it. The machine im getting to try out now for a few. But it goes in the box soon.

Chips been looking for a ric for me. He said he may have found a few. Hes waiting to hear back from the guys as soon today actually. Even tho its coming out of my own pocket. If it makes it here in time for Xmas its going to be a VERY VERY MERRY XMAS!

So what are you guys getting?

Santa came by while my wife was out of town shopping with her sister...I got her a coupe of things, they ended up under the tree.

I bought a couple of 50' speaker cables for the band (we didn't need them), but decided a head of time that the 25' cables I have for my PA are of limited life...my cat has gotten to them one too many times (cat has been with me 15 years...he eats cables - 120 V in them is better - and this damage was from nearly 10 years ago)...

Anyway...

Santa come by and plops the 2 unopened 50' cables under the tree while wifey is gone. She comes back, the only presents under the tree so far are for her (unlabeled, since I have no idea where this x-mas stuff is) and my cables. She really wasn't amused about the unwraped cables under there. Wasn't buying the Santa story (he's getting much busier lately and has to start his rounds earlier. I might have changed the story later on to one of santa's elves was making the "pre-rounds"...)

I might just have to wrap the cables up as gifts to me from "Santa". Karen's habit has been to buy herself some gifts and label them like that and feign surprise... Image Unfortunately the cables are probably my only "toys" this year. But I did plant the idea that a 2006 Mapleglo 4003 would be nice for next year!

Looking out for an unusual bass, but Christmas is pretty filled up right now...

Next week, my Gretsch 6122-59 Chet Atkins arrives, then hopefully my Mystery Rick (more on this after I actually get it in my hot hands). I just picked up a Magnatone M10 amp (1965) in mint condition. I'm bidding on an MV-4 bass amp.

And the beat goes on. Happy holidays, everybody!!!

I'm getting a new kitchen.

Hmmm...

Is paying out the nose yourself for something still considered a "gift"?

Mother has paranoia problems tho. I mean she really does. Thats where I get most of my paranoia at haha. Like you guys remember that one azure I wanted on Ebay. Shes the reason I didnt get it. she complains and complains until finally I just said screw it. She'd be the same way about you guys. Theres just no way around it really. Chip is like family and has been for awhile now. So she trust him.
