Yeah , I won it . I've heard alot of good things about the shadow so i decided to take the plunge . I know it will only go up in value . I figured it would go for around 2 K anyway . I had to put the bid in an hour before it ended as i had to work tonight . Cant wait to get it . Have any of you owned a shadow ? And what do you think of them ? Any different than a standard 4003 other than looks ????

I never owned one but I played one, quite extensively, on several occasions. The one I played (And I think this is true for most) had an amazing feeling slim neck, which has haunted me! Other then that, basically like a 4003 - though that fretboard was so, so pretty.

Ted, you'rs is a beauty!

The one I played and was close to buying had seen better days, cosmetically.

I have two. They are great players and as John said the fretboards are pretty. I also have an '86 and '87 white/bt that have the same thin necks. IMHO they play much better than the necks being produced today, They also have a shorter headstock than the current model.
a couple of Shadows a Blackstar and an Annie.

Mike, I also have an '86 WHT/BT and you're right, the neck is very similar!

Theres another one up on the bay now John . I had to have the shadow man . Besides we couldnt let the rick Nazi get another one now could we .

That second one on Ebay has ratcheted the count up to 22, I think. Did you get SN info on that one Chris?
