Hell, even my '84 FL with the two extra screws that are factory fitted has a bit of lift at the tail!! I don't think I've ever seen a 4001 without any lift, all part of the charm!

Maybe I'm not used to seeing it at all Ive got the older tailpiece on everything else I have where in this case they sit flush.

my 79 4001 has no lift.

My 73 4001 had the pull up problem ... I put a 4003 tailpiece on it and it stayed flat ...

My '93 V63 has the lift. I'm going to ride it out until I see what the redesign looks like.
