If I were you, I'd keep the guitar (assuming you like it) and go for the additional "substantial store credit" because you know you'll want something else someday.
NOS? Confused.....

Excellent work, Aitch! I'm really glad it worked out for you, plus I have to congratulate you on your professional manner in dealing with this.

Plus, the free set-ups would be really nice to have too.

Congratulations Howard. I will be most interested in the option that you choose.

All I can add to other comments received Aitch is that you handled it well and I am sure that you are both happy with the result.
Your relationship has been preserved and you are both satisfied that you did the right thing. That is all that really matters.

My first Ric, a 330MG purchased in November of 2004, at MAE music in Davie, FL, has a serial number which dates it back to 2001. I did not know this until well after I purchased it. It had all of the paperwork, the strings were brand new, I was spellbound when I first got it home and plugged it in. The guitar actually sat around the store for that long, I believe ... south Florida is not exactly the most diverse musical town. I decided that 2001 was a great year for guitars, in particular, Rickenbackers, so, with me, it stays, grow old together, we shall, happy, I am ... jangling ... all the way ...

Thanks, all. I'm glad that it worked out - it may have cost the dealer some money, but by retaining my business I'm sure he knows he'll get it back eventually!
Indeed it was great that John was not only prepared to offer an opinion in a public place but also add a grenade or two to the arsenal. I'm happy that I didn't have to use them.
Thank you, John!

Great outcome Howard! And it is indeed a great looking guitar(does my bias show?)!
Howard dropped into my home tonite to show the 360 to me,wish we could have stayed chatting longer!
It's my wife's birthday today and we were getting ready for the in-law invasion! I'd have preferred your company Aitch!
As to Mr. John Hall adding a grenade or two to your arsenal, i kind of think he adds a nuclear bomb!Who'd argue?(glad we're on his side!)

Pleased to report that we now have closure....
I've decided to keep the guitar and take the store credit option. It will be very handy for all the little bits and pieces that you need from time to time.
"Tubby" is really a great guitar, and he will receive nothing less than my usual love and attention!!

Good stuff Aitch,
I don't recall seeing any pictures of "Tubby" yet. Or did I somehow miss them?

So I did miss the original posting of the pictures. They were on another thread so I see. What a beauty. Nice deep FG.
