Brammy, a RIC acoustic ordered with the E3 option is what you would want. You might also try out, if possible, a 380L PZ - it seems to me to have a very "acoustic electric" sound with the piezo pickup.

I'm sure JH will post a note when the acoustic department is caught up enough so that the company can once again take orders for new acoustics.

Gary, the 380L has been discontinued.

Umm...all the RIC acoustics are/were available with a pickup system. I own one.

Read here under "Options":

That would constitute an acoustic/electric, wouldn't it?

(Sidebar: I say "are/were" above because the acoustics will be available for ordering again at some point, but are not so at this time.)

Kenny... Is it anticipated that the acoustics be available anytime for ordering at anytime this year? Or will it basically be a technicality that an acoustic will never be available to order in BBR?

Ah, I have been wondering the same thing, Brad.... But it is probably a moot point, as I have already overspent my play money for the year.... Image

But Melissa, you can always order something now and save up until it actually arrives!

But that's the point Steve. It appears we CAN'T even order one. See, we must order a BBR within a couple weeks or it will forever be gone. BUT, we can't order an acoustic right now. If RIC doesn't allow acoustic orders during the same time BBRs are offered, then such a combo can never be ordered, regardless of the production schedule.

My brain is cramping.

Ah - I didn't realize Melissa specifically wanted a BBR acoustic.

I did too ... Image

P.S., Paul, I knew (of course) that the 380L has been discontinued. I was just providing an option to try out, if possible.

I have a Taylor 455ce 12-string with the Fishman Prefix system, and I LOVE, LOVE that guitar. It sounds good on any song, it's amazing.

The halt on our accepting orders on acoustics has not been in effect all year; some orders for BBR acoustics may have come through. Can't say for sure though.

I tried ordering an acoustic in March, but my deposit was returned as RIC wasn't accepting orders. Hopefully someone got an acoustic BBR order in during the first month or so of 2005.
Although I couldn't order one last spring, I recently noticed the Mike Parks had a 700C-12 (with pickup) available for deposit. This was basically the acoustic I wanted to order (although I didn't really need the pickup), so I put down a deposit. This one had originally been ordered in 2002, so hopefully I'll see it relatively soon once production resumes!
