SNOW!!

Suffer I say you Northern Hemispherians!
It NEVER snows in sunny Oz.

We've been freezing in near record low temps of 69f for summer. (that's winter weather) but I still took the kids to the beach today.

Snow, what snow?
We got about 6-8 inches over night on top of the 1 1/2 foot we already had. Just a dusting!
I live in the snow belt off of Lake Erie, and don't even blink until we get over a foot at a time.
We had about a foot and a half over night, last week, and they didn't even delay the schools.
I've got two wood burners in the house, a 4X4 Chevy, a snowblower, and a Ford 8N with a plow.
Bring it on Baby!

Bring your snowshoes Peter, we got around 10 inches of snow in the city!

Actually, the snow should be cleaned up by then...but the Accuweather forecast for Saturday calls for snow flurries and it'll be pretty cold:

We have alot of snow. ALOT. And as much as I hate to admit it, it's just the beginning.

How are real estate prices in Oz??

What the heck ever happened to global warming?

Or is it another globe that is warming?

We're OK here in southeast Michigan ... we got about 4" to 7" of snow

4 wheel drives are fun and safe and all, but sometimes they just don't matter. Yesterday in Chicago the 4x4's were STUCK in traffic just like everyone else. It took my future wife 2.5 hours to get home from the office in her 4wd(normally should be 15 minutes).

Bob, Real estate in Oz is reatively cheap. I live about 3 miles west of Perth in the desirable "western suburbs" & the beach is 3 miles west of here, so smack in the middle. My place is worth about 500k aus (350us?) Sydney/Melbourne much more expensive tho. The other thing is rush hour lasts from ten to eight till eight o'clock lol

Global warming was supposed to have affected us most down here with the hole in the ozone layer getting bigger each year and drifting north. No sign of any effect this year which has been mild to say the least. Record Christmas day temp was 42c. 2 weeks out it was 19c yesterday!

Nice, stable, grey cloud/rain here... sure, like any other time of year, but no extremes here.

Although we do have more tornadoes than any other place on the planet.

Hahaha... not sure if I'm quite ready to switch hemispheres permanently... but when I get there, I'm looking you up- that sounds NICE!!!

I was going to take my kids out to build a snowman later, but I realized there's enough snow to make my own Yeti...

Bob, In Darwin, I was told, rush hour is 100km/h(65mph) instead if 110. They're different up there let me tell you....

I don't have to worry much about rush hour traffic.
I drive 14 miles to work and only have one stop light.
The only thing I need to be concerned with is the sudden deer that jumps out or the occasional tractor, or Amish buggy!
