Brian: Thanks for this information. I had not heard this. While I confess that a number of the songs continue to "grow on me" I cannot see how this could be a serious nomination. It still falls far below the standard for an Album of the year, at least to my way of thinking.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

It's up against Mariah Carey's latest twittering if I heard correctly yesterday.

Pauls short self promo showed him playing a number of instruments. What a showboat. He must be tickled pink.

Well, the year fell far below the standard for a Year, as well, so I guess it all makes sense...

I can't remember a year that DIDN'T fall short of standards since 1979.

Nice high interest rates, too!

BTW is it my TV or has Ms. Carey expanded her horizons to the point that I need a wide screen to fit her all in?

Obviously she has not graced the pixels of my set lately.

I hope his Fidelity Commercials get nominated for a...whatever they call those tv commercial awards....

I'm nominating Macca for "Most Integrity Displayed By An Artist" for his endless self promotion, whoring himself out for a retirement fund corporation and his "McCartney-Lennon" debacle, (although I know that was a while ago....)

Here are the other nominees in contention with Sir Paul.

The Emancipation of Mimi," Mariah Carey
"Chaos and Creation in the Backyard," Paul McCartney
"Love. Angel. Music. Baby," Gwen Stefani
"How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb," U2
"Late Registration," Kanye West

Is Mariah referring to Lennon's aunt? Got to love the title to Gwen Stefani's CD, great drivel.

Michael,

You mean Mr. I wear sunglasses at night, indoors, outdoors, to bed and probably in the shower as well should get the nod over Sir Paul?

OK I'll second that!

Unless...

Kanye West made such a stink over his last awards show loss that they stacked the nominations in his favor. Image

Don't really care if Bono wears his sunglasses while he's knockin' boots....

"Dismantle" blows "Chaos" off the planet, imho.

I agree Michael.

It just bugs me that when people wear sunglasses at inappropriate times.
