330/6 BBR at The Music Zoo

Post by mp_me »

I just saw it there an hour ago.
The guy working there was very nice.
He brought it up from the stockroom just so I could look at it.

It is the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen in my life. The great photos The Music Zoo takes of their in stock guitars do not do this finish justice. No photo could.

I have a 660/6 BBR and a 620/12 BBR on order, and I just bought a 330/6 BB from the Zoo. I dropped in to the Zoo to see the finish in person to make myself feel better about buying 2 guitars in a finish I had never seen in person.
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The most glowing, glassy, godlike finish EVER!

The website says the ONE they had was sold, but the recent shipments on the Rick site says they were shipped TWO.

Did I mention it looks good?

Mark,
Your gonna love it, the 330BB on the website that was sold went to my Mom. The Music Zoo is a great place to by a guitar, they sold me my new 620 JG and my Mom's 330 BB for $1960 thats including free shipping . The 330BB was $1060.00, and the 620JG was $900.00, I highly recommend the Music Zoo.

Paul, are you getting your BB's & BBR's mixed up....I thought your mum had a BBR.

BB = Blue Boy.....
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

I did not buy the 330/6 BBR.
I just wanted to mention how wonderful it looks.
Someone should stop by the Zoo and buy it, before I go into debt.

I'll post some pics when I get back home-
might be a week...
On the whole I think it's beautiful!
It has the new peghead. I haven't found it any easier to
restring or tune than the old one.
After getting used to the through slots I kinda think it looks sorta cool.
I think that the through slots might be there to lessen wind resistance when thrown against an amp(I'm just kidding!) Image

I like the Music Zoo;
They play "Mah-Nuh, Mah-Nuh" on their hold music.
Need I say more?
