Nice job Ron. You got a better deal than I did.

The wife was quite happy at the price I got on it, especially when I showed her two other auctions that ended at $3675 and $4550. I should add that she likes the bass, too.

Everytime I see those prices I'm very happy I got mine in '92 for $999.

It's interesting to see some of these prices paid when the 4001CS basses were in production, but I wasn't a Ricophile then and didn't have the wherewithall to buy one if I was. I just count myself lucky that I paid what I did given today's market and hope there isn't some hidden issue with it.

This getting too good to be true. First, I find the bass and it's in an acceptable condition. Second, the shop includes Fedex Second Day Air shipping in the price. Now I find out the bass is already at the local Fedex Kinko's place waiting for me to come pick it up. It only took one day to get it from Colorado to Virginia! I love it!

Next thing, Chris Squire's going to drop it at your door!

I can imagine your excitement... and I'm hoping details are forthcoming!

I don't know what's gotten into the shipping business... but I picked up a Yamaha electronic drum pad and it made it from Alaska to NY in 2 days... via the USPS!!!

This has been a good week. My 4001C64 showed up Monday and now this. What an embarrassment of riches!

Now all I need are some chops and I'll be set.
