Music Zoo has a 4004LK in stock.
If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

Errrr........ummmmm..........aaaaaaaa.......****!
Busted by Cleveland's finest.
Gentlemen, oops, and ladies, I have a confession to make.
Thanks to the kindness and generous assistance of many in the forum community, for which I am very grateful, I took a leap of faith and snagged the Musc Zoo LK. I have been scrambling around for years trying to find one, and once I discovered this forum, and the people who "live" here, I got some real help finding "my bass", thank you all.
It cost me half my bass collection(Hello Marc, thus the caper and my calls), a pile of money, numerous details, facts & figures, shipping concerns, value issues, nervous waiting for fear at any moment a "Tony" would walk in the store.( Read Tony's LK story in the LK databass thread, it's a real knee slapper.)
Mind you I've been around long enough that I've taken a big bite from the cynic sandwich, no fancy Dan illusions of rock stardom, don't know Motorhead from Rotorooter, but the LK, from the moment I saw her, hit deep. When I finally opened the case on this baby in my home I was "done". It is amazing to me that anyone, and especially Rickenbacker, had the nads to build such a piece at any price, nevermind what Rick was asking. You will never convince me that Rickenbacker does not build custom basses, this baby is scary, sounds furious, and worth ever penny paid.
Anyway, the hey, you are becoming a nad light has been on for a while. Thanks to all for this wonderful atmosphere. A special hello to poor Brian who suffered the most during my secret mission. I would be pleased to take part in your LK mission. Oh, and thanks a pantload for my outing.
Gary
P.S. Ah, Mr. Hall, you keep building masterpieces like this, Alembic will drop you from their Christmas card list.
