.... at the rate she's going I wouldn't be surprized if the next action figure was "GI John: Commando Beatle"

Randy Says: As I understand it, John was a 'bad drunk'. And that doesn't mean he drank a lot or drank alone. Many sources claim that after only a few social drinks he could become very loud and obnoxious.

What you said is true and I heard it first hand. The thing is, John wasn't constantly drunk or shoving coke up his nose during his 18 months away from Yoko. He was probably in his best health during that time.

Kent, the Phillip Norman book says that when John died, Yoko told Cynthia and Julian that only ONE of them would be allowed to attend the funeral and pay respects. If they both showed up, neither of them would be admitted.
So of course Cynthia let Julian go. There's no reason for Norman to make this up...he's done some major sucking up to Yoko to get access to the Dakota, and it's one of the few bad things he says about her. John's will was woefully incomplete at the time of his death, so Yoko got his entire estate, and Julian was given a pathetically small amount of money, one time, and it didn't last him more than a couple years, I believe. Other than that, he's been cut off completely from the Lennon estate. Julian is quite bitter, understandably, and is also bitter towards his father...he posted a statement online a few years back detailing his feelings. Yoko didn't allow much contact to happen between John and Julian, and the two pretty much only saw each other when he was with May Pang--she saw to it they saw eachother. What May Pang says about her time with John is rational and logical and stands up to scrutiny. Yoko's version of things don't at all. The whole "Lost Weekend" thing is a myth...Yoko concocted it, and John went along with it, even warning May Pang in advance that it was the story they were going to put out to the public, as he didn't want her to feel hurt. It's all designed to be a part of John and Yoko's "greatest love affair of the century" myth.

Steve: No. You'll have to wait for the Yoko action figure. She's got the Kung Fu grip and you know what she's grabbing...

Thanks Jo for that summary..... "greatest love myth of the century" is more like it. What a kook. Jeeeez... what a vindictive old ***** Yoko is. Why John let her forcer herself (literally) on him to begin with is an interesting look into Lennon's (likely fragile) sense of self.

The only think "sure" in all of this is that John is doing cartwheels in his grave and will have some pretty angry things to say to Yoko when they meet in the afterlife.

As for the upcomming Yoko doll, I suspect the manufacturers will just start with the old "Catawoman" molds. Or maybe they could just drag out some old Cruella DeVille's from the warehouse and repackage those.

Here are some better Yoko wannabee dolls, whose molds are available cheap:

OR, maybe:

Maybe Sean will have some compassion on his brother when Yoko's lights go out. I wonder what their relationship has been.

Lets not give Yoko any ideas... next thing we know she'll be selling burlap bags with Lennon's picture on them..... only $29.95! and if you order within the next 10 minutes you'll get a free piece of chalk; just perfect for creating that unique shreaking sound you desire.
