Hey Jamie, It looks like a 60's rick japanese clone....here's one that was on ebay a while back...notice the similar trapeze style tailpiece and only 4 knobs on the pickguard.Although the ebay one had rounded 360 style bouts they might have made a 330 pointy style as well.

The last pic of Wyman with this bass shows what appears to be a 360 headstock missing two tuners. The bass also seems to have a neck with more than 20 frets. Could this be a 360 Ricky converted to a bass? Remember that in my previous post I made mention of the fact he liked short scale basses. By the way, Wyman always looked bored while playing. Even Charlie would crack a smile now and then.
It could be a converted rick, but I still think it's a Japanese bass...no toaster pups...no logo on the trussrod cover (even though you can see a much smaller gibson logo on Brians 335)...and look how much longer the neck is compared to Keith's LP....only clearer pictures would really tell the tale.
Guys I don't know what it is & the more I look at it the odder it seems!, maybe it's some Japanese copy like Dave's ebay Ric clone, but these photos date from '68 so it would have to be a real early copy , then again maybe it's a home-made simi-hollow body Bass using Ric Guitar parts that someone just put together (you know, leftovers from a few of Pete Townshend's smashed Rics!) creating a hybrid Bass not unlike some of the guys here have suggested that Ricenbacker issue days, whatever it is it sure is interesting,
Cheers,
Jaime
