BUMPER WEEK!!!

Glad to hear you made it through the ice-storm John. Another classic Rickenbacker surfaces from the JWilli Collection.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

"Memo: Ice storms = not good."
I heard that big time. I was out of power and heat for 2 weeks in 1998. Odd to see 3-6" dia. ice around thin little tree twigs. Lost my BBQ to a 1500lb chunk that slid off my roof and through the back deck. Thoroughly unpleasant.
I'm glad you were spared Jwilli. Sorry you had to go through it Lefty. I can definitely relate.
Now I have to go finish removing the 16" of snow we got Friday. 16" translates to 7 feet of ice chunks after the plow goes by. I've been at it since Friday. #@#$%! At least it's not cold yet, and Santa definitely has a great landing pad at my house.

Never, ever drool on your surf shirt. It wrecks the solo.

Paul, Welcome to the Capri owners club! I can identify with so many things about your original post. What a great week you had!
In April of this year I bought three Rickenbackers in one day - two basses and a '66 335. The adrenalin rush was tremendous!
Like you, I had been hankering for a Capri for some time and my '59 335 MG arrived last month. Even though it's currently past midnight here, I just had to open up the case and remove the original pickguard to see if there is any masking tape on the underside and, no, there isn't. Another one of life's questions answered!
I hope your restoration is successful and I look forward to watching your progress. Good luck to you!
