Gig Available in the SoCal Area
Quiet Riot will be holding a one-day-only audition for a bass player that is based out of the general Los Angeles area. If you are interested but not in the area, please do not apply.
The basic requirements are for a bass player that is well versed and rooted in British late '60s and '70s music — John Paul Jones, Andy Fraser, and the style of music such as Led Zeppelin, Free, Humble Pie, The Babys, etc. The band are looking for a finger player that is also musically knowledgeable of funk roots. The new material has a lot of these influences as a basis, but applicants would also be required to perform the Quiet Riot songs that are expected from the band.
If interested and qualified, please e-mail: [email protected]. Include all your contact information, bio, images etc.
Quiet Riot recently announced the addition of former L.A. Guns and current Brides Of Destruction guitarist Tracii Guns to the group. The band will begin recording the new CD in late January and into February 2006.

"Quiet Riot's second single "Cum on Feel the Noize" (a remake of one of Slade's big U.K. hits from 1973) was released; it spent two weeks at #5 on the chart. It was The first heavy metal song to make the Top 5 on Billboard Magazine's "Hot 100 singles chart". A #1 album and a top 5 single was unheard of for a heavy metal band in 1983. The Metal Health album also displaced Michael Jackson's Thriller album from #1"
Wow. I had no idea
