Sheena: Here is your link. http://www.rickresource.com/rrp/ric_trans.htm Sorry for the delay, I have to fix some of the code and change all the links and then upload it. Thanks for all your hard work. Your translation is credited on the Rickenbacker Registration Page.

Cool! I can read it!
You've done it VERY fast!
I'll drop it to the community 2morrow, may i also drop a link to the original article & your website in general?
(credit - for what? 'twasn't a big job to be true compared to what the others do, so that's indeed too much for me...)

It only came by occasion Steve - of course my second name is a bit different!

There's nothing really interesting there, believe me Steve!
"Yeah, cool, the question is - where to get a RIC?" - "Nah, the question is where to get money to buy a RIC, and where to get it is the next question!" - "Oh, it isn't that pricey anyway!" - "Yeah, but customs and delivery... it's easier and cheaper to fly to the States and buy it there"... that's the story in fact...
and then a guy and myself discussed the pink one for $400 on ebay a bit, if you remember the story...
Well, at least one guy got really interested in Rickenbacker 12-strings...
Peter, as i said already, 'twasn't THAT hard, and thank you for the article - i doubt i could've written any article myself...

Sheena: If it interests only one person in Russia to get a Rickenbacker 12 string it will be worth it. I am surprised that McCartney or the Beatles didn't come up in conversation.

Yes Peter, that's strange, too, IMHO. Some time ago, RIC basses were discussed in the same community, and some people made references to the Beatles and some others who played RICs, and to a Russian guy who's really addicted to his Rickenbacker bass. In fact, in the comments to my entry another guy said "yeah, that's great, wish i could have it... but cannot afford it at the time" or something. I'd rather say many people here would be glad to have it... but States are too far, you know, and the music shops don't sell RIC 12-strings here... or if they do, not many of them appear and are bought in a blink of an eye, so to see them "in flesh", one should spend 24 hours 7 days a week at the shop.

Sheena - if it's any consolation to you and your friends over there, you can let them know there's not many shops here in the States that have Rics in stock either. And I'm talking about official Ric dealers too! Those dealers will order one for you (and then you wait), but I'm talking about having the guitars in stock. Believe me, it's not like you can walk into these stores and see a variety of Rics for sale. In fact, when I was seriously looking a few months ago, I went to ALL the local Ric dealers and only one store had ONE Ric (a fireglo 360/12) in stock!
What was even funnier, I pulled it off the wall and started playing it, and a salesman walked by. He looked at it for a long time and eventually said "I didn't even know we had that!"
I then tried to tell him that I'd brought it into the store myself so I could try out different amps, but he didn't believe me.
Just saying that I know the internet makes it look like all the stores here in the US have tons of Rics for sale, but that's not the case at all.
So, if you or your friends ever do see one there "in the flesh" you'd better buy it immediately.

I'd love to, Steve, but a) the two i've seen "in the flesh" were both basses (a 4-string & a 8-string) and i cannot play bass, unfortunately... 8-( there was a 330, seen the announcement on the Web, but when i came to the store two days later, it was already sold to some lucky guy; b) cannot afford a $2000 instrument now (but started saving money already
- well, maybe will have to try ebay...
