Peter got fogged in and missed his connecting flight to Chicago. The soonest he could reschedule was mid January so we have to put it off until then.

Yes Jim, Ted is correct. Due to Amsterdam airport being fog bound all incoming flights were delayed by around 3 hours. But the fog dodn't seem to stop all the long haul flights leaving (empty) on time - leaving literally thousands of people stranded. After a total nightmare day I abandoned the journey and took the next available flight home. I have now been rescheduled for the weekend 21-22 January (fog, snow, drizzle, oil shortage, check in clerk having a bad day, etc. permitting).
