Check out this one. It's HYSTERICAL. Somehow JPG&R all signed with the same blue ballpoint pen in 1977. And in signatures all reminiscent of their 64/65 auto's. Yikes. Ebay is so slack with this stuff.
Oh I already checked with the seller to see if he was aware that the signatures are blatant forgeries and he had an incomprehensible melt down, so I take he WAS aware....
Hope no one gets screwed although it doesn't look like it given the bidders probably don't exist...
Just thought this one was particularly funny and egregious....
Happy Chrimble...

I sent him a polite question asking how I could be assured of authenticity since there have been many fake Beatle autograph sales. I got this response......
The auction is over. 94% of all Beatle autographs are fake. Even
the high end dealers get fooled. Some dealers want $30K+ for
an album. In order to authenticate you pay a $50 fee and then
you are an expert. Your question is a tough one. You will also
get other Ebay members telling you that you are bidding on a
fake item then they will tell you they have a contact that gets
you the real stuff. All BS. Best of luck.

Nice...I too sent him a polite "I have seen many Beatles autographs and these may not be authentic. Are you aware of this? I have a 1965 set and many scans of other years, solo & group, and if you'd like to see them for comparison purposes let me know."
This was his response to ME:
"I am twisting your arm? what do you sell t-shirts for a $1.99 oh
you have a book. Now I know. You are an expert. The gospel. I
am so scarred of you. I forgot you won Ebay. Bug off you peice
of ****. What now? Are you going to recomend that you have
afriend that sells real Beatle stuff? I heard it all. You send me
your credentials. What, Ebay is going to believe an uneducated
idiot like you? Oh I am so scared beacuse the other idiots I
reported are on your side."
Strange dude...his command of the English language is about as about as firm as his grasp on reality....either way another lunatic brought to us courtesy of the Ebay...
Oh and btw, the auction is STILL live...

I just asked him if he got an explanation from the guy he bought it from how he got the Beatles to sign with the same blue pen in 1977, given that the group broke up in 1970, this would have been a very difficult task!
Also, I love how he says COA's don't mean squat, but he will include the one he has for this one!

Hi ... In response...
>>>>The auction is over.
no, its not. Why did you say that?
>>>94% of all Beatle autographs are fake.
actually it's 95%..... if you count this one.
Look, pal, these are autopen reproductions. Anyone with a brain can see that. They've been matched to copies elsewhere. Its clowns like you who are causing Ebay problems.
his response--------------------------------------------------------------
I really don't care what you think. Don't you have something better to do. Like sell one of your LP's for a whopping 5 bucks. Pound sand.
my response--------------------------------------------------------------
I hope you can get the help you need ... you clearly have a few screws loose. Merry Christmas.

There isn't a day that goes by where I don't see FAKE Beatles autographs floating around on Ebay. Here's a hot one for you guys that happened back in March. Some clown was auctioning off a George Harrison autographed guitar for a modest amount which if memory serves sold for a little over $750.00. But, here's the problem: the "signed" guitar was a new Fender Squier '51 (the kind that almost resembles a '51 P bass) that was just introduced last year (July '04)!!! So I emailed this bafoon and asked him how could George Harrison who passed away on November 29, 2001 sign a guitar that was just manufactured in July of 2004? Needless to say he emailed me back almost immediately with various colorful metaphors and telling me how "hurtful" and "insensitive" I was, and that I should "get a life"!
Now folks, I'm no Frank Ciaizzo (Beatles Autograph Expert), but I've been collecting long enough to know a legit from a fake. This one especially didn't take an expert to figure out!
Thanks Kent and Steve for a few chuckles this holiday weekend!

This one is almost surely not Beatle autographs. I've read that some of the Beatle entourage (Neil Aspinall, Tony Barrow etc) would sometimes forge signatures just to lighten the load for the Fabs. These could be some of those. Compare the George signature to legit ones..... its all wrong.

I guess these must be real... and I guess if I lit my cigars with $100 bills I might be in a position to buy it. Note that at this price there are ZERO bidders.

How conveeeeeeeeeeient! I'm very suspicious, but I suppose it could be legit.

Kent, from what I can tell on the Ebay links you've provided I would say #1 FAKE, #2 Lennon's looks legit, but very doubtful of the McCartney, Harrison, and Starr sigs. Someone probably got Lennon's, and decided to add P,G,& R themselves. #3 FAKE, #4 FAKE, #5 REAL, #6 Pete Best's is real, Paul's could be (wish the scan was clearer), but George's is fake. #7 FAKE, and #8, well...the scan is too small (maybe there's a reason that it is), but I would venture to say FAKE. Even Neil Aspinall and Mal Evans could forge better sigs than some of the ones floating around out there right now!
