Sorry, but a C64S or C64 for that matter in Jetglo just doesn't seem right to me.
Buy it before someone else does.

I went to the Zoo today to see these Basses...
When I walked in A guy was looking at the Rics on the Wall and said "give me that one" and he bought a 330 fireglo. They had about 6 other Rics on the wall but no basses. They didn't have the basses out cause they were hidden in their cases...
They are beautiful.......
I'm in love with the Jetglo C64S...
They are both Real nice,
I liked the both of them but the C64S felt great!!!
I'm wondering cuse it's Black and it is and Not part of the C "vintage" idea, will this be a worth more $$$$ someday?????
I guess it depends on how many are in Jetglo.
Does Ric give out Production numbers on The C64 series?

Now if I knew what the 2006 Color is????

If a C64 bass has some imperfections that wont allow it to be sprayed a transparent finish, they will spray it Jetglo rather than scrap the bass.

Will that make it more desireable in the future?? Who knows??? Its kind of a double edge sword, on one hand its rare, because of low numbers, but on the other hand, you've gotta bass that was painted Jetglo because of some kind of imperfection.

As far as production numbers, thats one of the deep dark secrets of the Rickenbacker realm.

The "imperfections" are nothing, quite frankly, to be concerned about. Oftentime an instrument is painted JG because there's an outstanding order to be filled and it has straight grain rather than a nice curl to the maple.

Out of all the JG instruments I've stripped and refinished, none had any sort of defect that was noticeable, like a knot. That sort of defect will eventually show up in a JG finish as a ripple or depression in the surface anyway, so the factory will not use this type of wood.

All the wood used is select grade (knot free), and any small defects will be avoided when cutting the shape of the bass or guitar out of a plank.

Hi Mike, did you happen to see the Lemmy they have? If you did, what did you think?
I'm just happy to be here.

I'm not one for black guitars, but that bass looks great!
I bet that "S" felt good too!

There were two C64 FG's. One I believe has been sold. They only show the one FG now.
I recently went back to playing a Rickenbacker bass. Its like meeting an old friend again
