The Beatles mic thing is interesting..... I dont have the answer, but here's a couple of things to look at.

PS.... these days for a moderately priced mic, AKG just cant be beat. IMHO of course.

I think some of the mics were Coles ribbons.

The microphones I'm after are the little ones that look like they're integrated with the mic stands.

The microphones were so small in diameter. It makes me wonder if The Beatles ever took it into their heads to insert the microphones in their mouths. I'm betting they did.

I noticed something while watching the Judge Alito "interrogation" yesterday. They're using what looks like the same microphone! Could it be? Is there a way to find out?
