Tuxedo Alert !

Post by lowendbob »

Pretty worn Tuxedo on EBay, with mods to the bridge, and replaced bass pickup to P bass style.
Why Why Why?

I agree, why butcher a Tuxedo? It's probably worthy of rescue, however.

That was one of the last ones made. Mine is 94 of the first 100 and it was made in April of 87. There were 120 total done something like this, I think: 100, 5, and 15. That one is saveable but WHAT a mess!

Well, at least whoever gets it will not ever have to mod a different Ric; this one is modded for them, and probably not feasibly reversable. It probably sounds okay too.

Why trash such a rare bass? Painful.

Alright, this is stupid now. It is over $1200 with a bit over an hour to go. I paid $1500 for one within the last year that has only a few small chips and some mild yellowing. This thing probably has the bejesus routed out of it and significant player wear. Do some of the bidders believe that **** about only 5 made? I am guessing yes. [edit] I see the high bidder is Mike Carr. He must really want it. Good luck on the auction Mike. She is a little rough but you can probably wrestle her back into shape.

Mine as it arrived.
