How to get that typical Chris Squire sound?
I love his sound. I already got a few things to achieve his sound:
- a Ric
- a pick
- Rotosound strings
Which overdrive pedal/effect did he use? And is bi-amping an import part of his sound?

As I have read it's mainly an overdriven Marshall. And it seems as if he rarely used the bridge PU - in fact, JH has stated that that PU was essentially bypassed when they got his RM-1999 into the factory for service...
***Some of those details may be vague (it was long ago), but I'd trust John Hall when it comes to company business.***
Not sure you have to have Rotosounds per se...I would venture any good RW would do. I think CS used a scoop shape in his EQ, i.e. a mid cut.

Above e-mail is inactive. try ed_ardzinski@**** where **** is Hotmail.com or Yahoo.com. I tend to see things inthe hotmail box quicker...
